Natural light is best. For a driver\u2019s license, position your phone so that the entire front side of the license is in the camera\u2019s frame. The scanner will quickly scan the front and ask you to flip to the back. If it doesn\u2019t, try slowly moving your phone closer or farther away to help the scanner focus on the license edges. Glare can greatly impact the scanner. Next, scan the back side of your license, focusing in on the barcode. The entire back side doesn\u2019t need to be in frame, the scanner is just reading the barcode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NOTE: If the barcode on your license is extremely worn or scratched, it will not be scannable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tip: In most states you can order a replacement ID online, to be mailed quickly to your home for under $25.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a new ID or it\u2019s in great shape and you\u2019re still having trouble scanning, please submit a Support Request to the Pit Pay Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Having trouble Scanning your Passport?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tips for Success<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Position the Passport to Minimize glare<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use sufficient, natural lighting instead of a flash<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Position Camera directly above the Passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be sure that your shadow does not cover your ID<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold the Phone and Passport Still so the Camera has time Focus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Glare can significantly affect the scanner\u2019s ability to read your passport. When scanning, try to scan your ID where there is no glare.
